Mobile Phones in School Mobile phones, laptops, iPads etc.. may not be brought in to school. This includes iPhones or anything similar. Ongoing and recent technological advances have enabled mobile phones and other hand-held electronic devices to become multi- functional and far more sophisticated. Nearly all phones now have the facility to take photos and/or video and allow access to the internet. Other than in the circumstance outlined below for year 6, if such technology is brought in to school by any child, it will be considered a serious breach of the school’s rules and managed accordingly. There is a specific policy and home school agreement for children in year 6 only, who have permission from their parents to walk home independently. Click here for the mobile phone policy. |
