Donate to Governors' Maintenance Fund

Donate here: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/18812

As I am sure many of you are aware, St Dunstan's Primary School is a Voluntary Aided School. This means it is a part of the state education system but belonging to the Catholic Church: a Church School.

Whilst our children's education is free, the Church is responsible for certain costs, such as 10% towards all repairs and new building costs. The Governors take responsibility for raising this 10% and have established a Governors Maintenance Fund (GMF) for this purpose. It is a privilege to have the choice to send our children to a Church School. Having exercised our right to that choice it is only fair that we all now contribute towards maintaining that privilege. GMF funding has enabled many projects to take place over the last few years both in terms of maintaining and developing the school, such as the development of our classrooms as well as maintenance of essential toilet & cloakroom facilities and construction of new fences and pathways.

It is suggested that, where possible, each family make a contribution to help our governors meet these necessary expenses. You can of course either make a one off donation, or spread your contribution over several months. We suggest a minimum contribution per family of £48, but do please be more generous if you can.

We now have our CAF account set up to accept online payments and collect gift aid on our behalf. We would be most grateful if you would use the following link to make your contribution: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/18812

You will be able to set up regular or one off payments and complete all the necessary details for Gift Aid if you are a tax payer.  By completing the Gift Aid box you will enable CAF to claim an additional 25% from the Government on each contribution. Using the CAF system to donate will also reduce use of paper and admin time in the school office.

Those of you who currently have a standing order set up with your bank and are happy to continue with this method of contribution do not need to make any changes. We are also able to accept payment by cheque, or cash - please contact the school office for the appropriate forms if you prefer this option.

Thank you in anticipation of your contribution.
