Q: Can only Catholic families apply?

No. As stated in the School Admission Policy, baptised Catholic children are given priority for places but we are fully inclusive and all applications are welcome. Please read the Admissions Policy carefully as it explains in detail how places are allocated.

Q: Do I have to live in the parish to get a place at St. Dunstan’s?

No. All families are welcome to apply. Please read the Admissions Policy as this explains how places are allocated.

Q: Does my child have a guaranteed place because I have children at the school already?

No. As stated in the School Admission Policy, siblings are given priority within each oversubscription criteria only. Please read the Admissions Policy carefully as it explains in detail how places are allocated.

Q: Does my child have a guaranteed place at St. Dunstan’s School if they attend Young Explorers Nursery?

No. Despite being on the same site, Young Explorers Nursery is run independent of the school and entirely separate from St. Dunstan’s School.

Q: How many reception classes do you have, and how many children do you take each year?

There are 3 Reception Classes: St. Teresa’s Class, St. Bernadette’s Class and St. Catherine’s Class We take 90 children per year into our Reception year, three classes of thirty children.
