Faith Ambassadors

Four of our Faith Ambassadors with Bishop Richard at the Diocesan Good Shepherd celebration

You too, dear young people, can be joyful witnesses of His love, courageous witnesses of His Gospel, carrying to this world a ray of light.

Being part of a Catholic school community is very special. Our Faith Ambassadors are children from Years 5 and 6 who pray together, work together and have lots of fun whilst discovering more about their faith.

Supported by a member of the Catholic Life and Mission Team, Mrs Barrett, the children are an active and dedicated team, who play a vital role in enhancing the Catholic Life of our school. They have a desire to deepen their own faith and to share the teachings of Jesus with others through their faith and action.

The aim of our Faith Ambassadors

To support and develop the Catholic Life and Mission of our school.
To encourage everyone to share the ‘Good News’ and to ‘love and serve the Lord.’

To listen to each other and to be good role models to others.

The Faith Ambassadors are actively involved in planning and leading prayer and worship with classes and in whole school settings. They readily give up their lunchtimes to meet with Mrs Barrett for training and to prepare and organise prayer.

This role holds responsibility and the children know it is a great honour to be a Faith Ambassador To show how highly valued the role is, the children are commissioned at a special service at the beginning of the school year and are celebrated for their commitment at the Trophy Assembly at the end of the Year.

Faith Ambassadors encourage everyone to remember how important it is to help, support and care for those who are less fortunate than ourselves.  The children enjoy supporting charities locally, nationally and globally, as well as being fully involved in the community by supporting the Parish and local care homes.
